Has anyone ever gone through the NCAA approval process for their athlete? Although you don’t have to register until year 10 or 11, I am planning ahead to be sure I keep accurate records of what my DD is doing. I know we have to document every book used and provide a lot of details. So I’d rather compile the information as we go along rather than waiting until year 10/11.
If you encountered any roadblocks or have any CM materials not approved, I’d love to hear about it. I don’t want to design a high school program only to find out in year 10/11 that some of it won’t be approved!
Well, I will post anything I find out here so we can figure it out together. My daughter is entering 8th, too.
I live near the NCAA headquarters and can easily do a face-to-face meeting, if someone there would agree to do so. I do see from various places online that the only catch is knowing what is/not accepted as coursework/course material.
I don’t get the sense that they intentionally make it difficult; instead, it sounds as if they are trying to weed out those attempting to circumvent eligibility requirements.
Maybe someone will pop on eventually who has been through or is also going through the same process 🙂
