Nature study and photography

    How many allow their teen to use photography in their nature study?  My two teenage boys both have cameras and love to take pictures.  I wondered if it would be a good alternative to drawing, even though I may have them sketch some as well.  Any thoughts?

    Personally I think it is a great idea.  My sister is an amateur photographer and it takes a lot to see what you are photographing.  She pulls in parts of the plants you never knew were there with such contrast.  I love it.
