Nature Study gem

    Karen and I just discovered a gem of a book for encouraging nature study. It’s by one of our favorite nature authors, and we were surprised to find that it’s ten years old but we had never seen it before. So here’s the information in case you’ve never seen it before: Field Trips: Bug Hunting, Animal Tracking, Bird-watching, and Shore Watching with Jim Arnosky.

    Sonya – I found this book at our library book sale for 50 cents earlier this year. Once I looked through it, I knew it was a gem! I couldn’t buy it quick enough.

    I have this in my library.  Anything by Arnosky is a find.

    We too have this on our shelves!  Tammy I also paid 50-cents at a library book sale.  It’s such a shame they get rid of the best books ;(

     

    I also recently found this little gem for $3 at a local 2nd hand store…. http://www.amazon.com/Natures-sketchbook-Marjolein-Bastin/dp/B0006QVWGE  The pictures are absolutely beautiful!
