Does anybody have some easy instructions for making a narration cube or jar? My son really could benefit from something like this, as he hates it everytime I say, “Tell me what you remember :)” He falls over on the couch and basically dreads when I ask him that. He just turned 7 in June.
So, I think that a variety of questions and things to do would make it easier on him.
I took a 2 inch square block from my kids blocks and wrote on each side w/ a fine tip sharpie – setting, characters, plot, etc. We roll the cube and use it periodically. Currently our little “relocator” has misplaced it. Can’t fault him too much since he’s but 1.5 years old :).
I made these bookmarks a while ago. You could use some of the ideas for a narration jar or just leave them on the bookmark and ask different ones each time.
I love these idea’s! I just finished my box (or my son finished taping it ) and I am going to use it a LOT! Also, for my older ones on their personal books this will be fun. Cause sometimes they wanted to retell me everything they just read and I don’t have time. When I do I can just ask but when I don’t this will be perfect! Thanks. Now off to see these bookmarks everyone is talking about..
+Ok now I’m fustrated. My dail up (which is always a problem) will not let me open the website for these bookmarks.. Is there another way you know that I could get them?
