Last week my mother passed away. Sunday morning she had a heart attack and was in ICU for several days. Wednesday we made the decision to remove life support. She went peacefully, just as if she went to sleep. Those four days were a nightmare, but God’s grace and love were a reality to us thru the love and caring of others. I want to ask you all, my friends, to pray for us in the coming days of grieving. My dad and I have begun sorting thru Mama’s sewing things. We will probably save personal belongings for a different trip; he lives in GA & we live in LA. Thank you so much. I appreciate each one of you.
I’m so sorry, bethanna. I went through a similar thing six years ago. My daddy had a massive stroke to the brain stem. They put him on life support shortly before that happened (had had a minor one a few hours before) and that left us with a decision to make. I wouldn’t wish this ordeal on anyone. But God’s grace is indeed sufficient. Know you are in my most fervent prayers.
I will lift you and your family up in my prayers. I can’t imagine the pain of losing your mother. You are so blessed to be able to see the Lord working in your life even through your grief and sorrow. Praise the Lord for this blessing of clarity. I pray that your mother is looking upon the face of the Lord right now. Please let me know if you have any other specific prayer requests in the days to come.
