But I’d also love to know what is Sonya’s secret! I mean, I don’t “just” want to hear her soothing voice calming my doubts and encouraging me on my way (though that would be wonderful!), I also want to learn how I can be that calming voice to my kids. I have anything but a calming voice these days. I think if I look back 6 years ago, I probably did have that calming voice. I know people used to say how patient I was, and I remember being very calm and soothing to my first baby…. but somehow the years and strain of having multiple little ones, plus other big life changes, have taken their toll….so that most of the time my voice, I’d say, is too fast, too impatient and too negative. I DON”T WANT TO BE THAT PERSON! It must be possible because Sonya has managed it … so what i want to know is…where to start and what steps to take…?
Yes! Monthly would be great…or nightly as I drift off to sleep 🙂 I could sure use something to take the sting off those days where I am just short of throwing the phone across the room in frustration. You know the days where the phone rings, the door bell rings, the kids all have ants in their pants and argue over the color of the sky? It’s either Sonya or Sangria ladies!
@2flowerboys, I dont’ think you would have to have an iPod but could listen on your computer. I think?
Oh and monthly podcast would be great for me too! While Sonya is at it, could she come and set up my on-line organizer? LOL! She makes it seem so EASY! I have watched those youtube videos on the organizer more than a few times the last few days LOL!
I listen to podcasts regularly, and would love to listen to one by Sonya, as often as she chose to record one! One beauty about podcasts is that you can always go back and listen to the archives. One of the podcasts I subscribe to has over 200 episodes, so once I found it, I could listen several times a week and still not run out. I listen while doing chores and while exercising.
I listen to several, my husband does, my children even do! I say yes to a podcast.
I also love Inky’s post/question above about Sonya sharing HOW she keeps such a calm voice (pretty please?) Do it here in a post so we don’t have to wait…hehehe.
I enjoy Dave Ramsey’s podcasts when I can’t listen to his radio show. Our church always makes the previous week’s sermon available via podcast, which is helpful if we ever miss a Sunday. One blog I follow, GNOWFGLINS, recently began a podcast, and I plan on listening when I can.
My preference for a podcast is that it be made available, even when it’s not live any longer. That way, I can go back and re-listen if needed or listen for the first time if I happened to be unavailable during the original cast. Trust me, if you guys and girls make a SCM podcast available, we will listen!
