My heart leapt!!

    Our family just watched a sweet little TV show about dogs.  It made a silly reference to one of the dogs possibly helping Michaelangelo paint the Sistine Chapel.  My 7 year old screamed and jumped up and down and proceeded to tell daddy all she has learned about Michaelangelo and his beautiful works of art AND the Sistine Chapel!  My mouth fell open!  SHE REMEMBERED IT ALL!!!!!!!  This is week 5 of 2nd grade and our first year following CM (and using SCM’s Picture Study Portfolio of Michaelangelo).  I was elated that she remembered what we had talked about!  And SHE was EXCITED that she recognized this.  A connection was made and a relationship was formed!! YAY for Charlotte Mason!!
