I’ve heard alot of recommendations lately regarding this book.  My library has the audio of (all?) 3 in the series and I was wondering if they are all equally as good?  I’m a bit nervous about an audio of a book I’m not familiar with.  It’s harder to stop an audio than it is to edit a few words while I’m reading aloud. Wink  My kids are 4, 6 and 8.

    Thanks!

It’s been a while since I have read all three to the kids, but from what I remember they are all really good and continue the story of Elmer and his dragon.  I don’t remember there being anything that I needed to edit at all, but as some mentioned before on this forum Elmer disobeys his mother at the beginning of the first book (and she is portrayed as a not very nice woman).

    Hope that helps a little!

My son enjoyed all three. I didn’t really like how a young boy went off alone for so long, but it’s fantasy.

We’ve only read the first book.  My boys absolutely loved it though!!

I read books with a black crayon in my hand so I can mark out things I don’t want the kids to hear (or read later). I am so picky about what words or images we let into our home, but I don’t think there was anything in these books I wanted to mark out. My 8 yr old has read them all and loves them.

    Hope that helps

my son LOVED this book (we have 3-in-one-binding). He’s read it 8 times I think.  Laughing

Have fun with it!  It really is cute.
