I put in a new Botticelli picture today and he said, “Mom, let me do it.”  Curious, I handed it over.

He sat on the couch, holding the picture frame and looked out at his older brothers.  “Look at the picture for a minute, then close your eyes and tell me what you liked best.”

After a minute he made them all close their eyes, then called on them one by one to “tell me what you remember.”  Which they did.  He told them, “Good job” and handed it back to me.

I was trying so hard not to crack up.  It was just so cute to see him totally take charge of school and to so perfectly mimic me.  He had the proudest look on his little face.  I guess artist study is making an impression!

    Icing on the cake! 🙂

Precious!!!  I think it’s great when we can let them be the teacher.  Let them have us narrate for a change.  It’s fun for them, and it can get us to think too and see how hard it can be.  I have a friend who even will narrate wrong just to be funny, and it gets her DD to correct her. Wink
