Birth of a Nation and Amistad (I haven’t seen either but read reviews) are not appropriate. I have seen 12 Years a Slave and I know that isn’t appropriate. Any suggestions? We are reading books and have visited some local plantations but I was also hoping for documentaries or movies that are age appropriate.
