My daughter has enjoyed listening to the James Herriot Treasury on audio.  It’s her favorite and she’s listened to it over and over again.  In looking for more James Herriott books, I came across Animal Stories.  I bought it and it turned out to be more adult in its content.  Does anyone know if he’s written any other books for children that might be available on audio?

My understanding is that all 8 stories James Herriot wrote specifically for children are included in the treasury. We wish there were more too!

We are reading the Treasury now! The kids love it! The pictures are beautiful! Wish there were more too!

I am so disappointed!  I’ll have to search for other similar books.  Thanks!

Yes, his books are for Teens & Adults who are accustomed to rough “farmer” language. My mother was raised on a farm – her grandparents immigrated from Northern England –  and her father and uncles spoke just as “colorfully” as the farmers in Yorkshire did! Surprised Not for the faint of heart (or ears).
