I’ve seen the movie version with Michelle Phiffer of A Midsummer Night’s Dream ages ago, and can’t really remember how appropriate it would be for children. Anyone have movie versions that they can recommend for the elementary crowd of any of the plays. There is a company in Halifax that performs Shakepeare (among other plays) every summer at an out-door theater. I hope to take in a play or two in the coming years when they are performing something appropriate for the boys to see. Unfortunately this year they are doing the Merry Wives of Windsor.
