I’m wondering if it is confusing to study American history and world history within the same week? We started to use Living Books Curriculum at the beginning of this year, but the way they had Amer. history and world history studied together started to make my head spin. I’m hoping these guides will be better balanced?
Thanks,
Michaela
sherazParticipantI haven’t used them yet, but I understand that they are two days of American and two days of World history. I can’t imagine that Sonya would make them overwhelming, but I also know that there have been a few people who did all the American lessons first, then went back and did all the world lessons.
TailorMadeParticipantI actually like studying them together with our kids. (though we haven’t used the SCM guides in the past for this). It seems to make the events more understandable. It becomes a global picture of what was happening at the time. Like turning that section of the Timeline/BoC into a study of events.
sarah2106ParticipantWe just did Mod 5 this past year and I liked doing American and Workd together. It actually made a lot of sense once we were going. It was nice to tie in what was happening with the US at the samd time things were happening around the world. It actually tied things together really well.
MichaelaParticipantThank you! I am looking forward to using these now! You have set my mind at ease. 🙂 I was thinking that Sonya would not overwhelm. We did the Module 1 guide and it was wonderfully paced. It sounds like everything will tie together. Thanks ladies!
