We’ll be startig this Module soon, so…..

Anyone doing projects/crafts/food related to time period, etc??  I know there is a Links and Tips for most of the modules but I don’t know about this one (I think I saw it, but maybe not).

My kids are elementary/upper elemenatary, and of course, all boys, if that helps.

The books by Daniel C. Beard look interesting for this, since they were published in the late 1800’s and very early 1900’s. There is one called The American Boy’s Handy Book: What To Do, And How To Do It, which you can get a glimpse of here. My local library has a copy of it, and I’m planning to check it out soon. He also wrote one called The Outdoor Handy Book: For Playground, Field, and Forest, which you can sample here. If I come up with anything else, I’ll let you know. I have two girls and one boy, ages 10-13.

You may see if Hands & Hearts has any kits for this historical period.

Thanks Christie, I had forgotten about them as well.  So many choices….so many sites/books to remember…so many where you saw ‘such and such’ that you/I always mean to go back to later…ugh.
