Module 6 geography questions

    We will be using the Holling books Tree in the Trail, Paddle to the Sea, and Minn of the Mississippi for a good portion of our North America geography, but I’m wondering if anyone has anything to add to these, or do you think that’s enough? We’ll be doing North America map drills, but we decided not to use the SCM guide recommendation of WorldTrek. It sounds like an interesting read, but I don’t want to overwhelm our schedule, and my youngest two could read it when they cover Module 6 again in their final year of high school.

    Also, I found and downloaded a lengthy set of activities to go with Paddle. (I found the link to it searching this forum.) I was wondering if anyone knows of additional resources to go with Tree or Minn. The budget is pretty well spent (another reason for dropping WorldTrek this year), but maybe there’s something online or at the library?

    We are using Geography: A Literature Approach with these books and the accompanying maps (about $26 for both of those on http://www.christianbook.com). According to the book, if you do one lesson a week it will take a year to complete. We just began, but I am doing one lesson every two weeks so this will last us for two years.
