I have decided to scrap what we have been doing this year and head on over to America, my children are much more interested in learning about the U.S. and I am going with it. Any help or suggestions on how to do the Module 6 on my own? I loved the Joshoua – Mallachai I purchased and without that sort of guide I tend to trip over my own feet. I’m feeling discouraged and overwhelmed. I don’t want to give up homeschooling but we are having such a hard time getting in the swing of it this year. We just moved across the united states and our house is a mess and I really think our 9yr old is suffering. any help is greatly appreciated. I don’t have hours on the computer to click around and look for this and that and I sure am not good at finding thins on the simply charlotte mason website. Don’t know what it is but I always have a hard time finding what I need. Please help
First off, a word of encouragement: you can do this, in His strength.
About five years ago, we had a new baby, moved two weeks later to a six hundred square foot house that had to fit seven people until we were able to move again five months later. That was a difficult year for homeschooling, but we survived.
I would suggest that you give yourself a chance to adjust and set up for a light schedule, with essentials only, until you feel more grounded. Do you have the “Planning Your Charlotte mason Education” book? Sonya has a sample light schedule for busy seasons on page 120.
How old are your children? It might be easier for everyone to help you out if they know what ages you are teaching.
I am praying for you, for peace, encouragement, clarity of mind, direction, and most of all for God’s truth and love to penetrate your home and lives as you adjust to many changes during a difficult time.
