For anyone using SCM Module 4, could you tell me what term we would be in with this module if we were at the following points in Famous Men of the Middle Ages:
Henry the Fowler
William the Conqueror
We are currently studying the Middle Ages time period for history and I’m trying to get an idea of where we might be in Module 4 at those two particular points listed above if we were to switch over to using SCM.
so you’d be about 3wks. into the guide if you did decide to switch over

Thank you both! We are roughly at around 1066 – 1100 in our history timeline, so would that still put us around Week 3 in Module 4 generally speaking? I’m assuming it probably would. Thanks for you help!
Thanks suzukimom. I actually already read through some of the Module 4 guide sample. I was just now looking at the Term 1 week by week chart and then looked at where we would probably be at in Famous Men of the Middle Ages and it looks like we might actually fall between Weeks 5 or 6. The sample lessons don’t go that far. My daughter could go ahead and be reading in the Famous men of the Middle Ages now while I get materials ordered and wait for them to come in.
For literature, my daughter is currently reading Ivanhoe, Age of Chivalry, and History of English Literature for Boys and Girls. She is also reading Idylls of the King. Would anyone have any suggestions on what I could go ahead and do to get her started for transitioning into Module 4? I’m still reading through the SCM how-to’s for the curriculum. My thinking is that, since I have a copy of Famous Men of the Middle Ages, maybe I could go ahead and start having her read where we would be at in that book and continue having her read one or a combination of the ones she’s already reading that I mentioned above.
Any thoughts? I’m kind of thinking out loud here as I figure this out. 🙂 Right now I’m basically trying to figure out the History, Geography, and Literature for the Module 4. We’ll transition into the Bible as well.
