    Can anyone talk to me about Michael Clay Thompson language arts materials?  What do you love about it?  How long have you used it and with what age/grade?  Have you found helpful online reviews? 

     

    I’ve heard it fits well with CM, though the website advertises Classical.  What would you compare the methodology to?  Are there placement tests or how do you figure out where to start?  What are the essential pieces?  It seems very pricey.  Are certain parts more important/beneficial than others?

    There have been a few treads about this. (Put Michael Clay Thompson on the search bar)

    I have a friend who used it and loved it. I never tried because it seems too teacher lead for me, didn’t think I could handle that w/multiple children.

    I actually tried to search, but didn’t come up with much 🙁  I thought maybe someone could point me in the right direction.

    Melissa, I only tried  the poetry materials, which we like. However, I couldn’t find anyone who had used them here, either. So I had to search through the WTM forum archives to get the info I needed. So, really, that’s what I would recommend doing.
