Hi…I am wondering it CM would say it is ok to read to them or start a lesson while they are eating snack.  Would that go against them being able to pay FULL attention?  We have done this in the past and I am about to start working on the habit of attention. Please advise! Thanks!

It probably depends on the child. I have a fidgety noise maker and I find when she is sitting & chewing, she listens better & engages in conversation afterwards. So I usually do Bible while we are sitting down for breakfast. But, for a different kid, eating may be the only task they can focus on at hand.

I agree. We just finished working on that habit and although the material we had talked about doing nothing else I have learned that my ds age 9 and dd age 7 can listen and narrate well while drawing. My son does just fine of he is moving around as well. Others may not agree but as long as I know my kids are paying attention I usually let them draw and even let my son move about (as long as it is not too distracting to the rest of us) while I read.
