I have been using Right Start Math Level B with my son. He just turned 7 years old. We only started a few months ago as last fall we were using a different curriculum that didn’t work well and so we put it aside, then a move into a new house, and the holidays, etc. . Currently, I have allotted 15 min. for math, which really does seem to be a great amount of time. However, I notice that we are really not moving very fast through the lessons. There are 140 lessons and we are just on Lesson 25, so at our pace it will take us well over a year. Would you encourage me just to move along at the pace that is working for us, or do I need to be mindful of getting done with Level B at a certain time.  I guess I could do another 15 min of math later in the day, but I just really didn’t want it to become too much for him and for me right now. Any thoughts?

I would encourage you to keep on going.  Right Start is worth the time.  We have done level A to D (currently not even halfway through D) and it has taken us almost a year.  I just take it at their pace and find at times that a group of lessons would seem to go faster than others.  We school year round and take breaks when we need.  Summer lessons are only a couple times a week due to summer fun.
