Has anyone use Math Their Way? It looks very CM friendly. It can be used as a stand alone program or as a supplement to another program. I thought we were going to use Right Start, but now I am not sure whether to use only Math Their Way or to combine it as a supplement to Right Start. We’ll be starting Level A of Right Start next year. Math Their Way is for K-2nd.

I am currently using Math Their Way. I am very impressed with it so far. My children are 6 (October) and almost 5 (in May). We have recently started and are almost finished with the first unit. It invovlves manipulatives and mastering the material before moving on. It is geared for a classroom setting, but we are managing to use dolls/ cards/ pictures… to make it work for us. Much of the materials we are able to collect/ or make together. I have looked throughout the book and am amazed behind the wisdom of much of the material. All of the work so far is hands on, no premade worksheets to fill in. However the children do copy many of the patterns on to paper and then the other child attempts to reproduce it. So far I have made many patterns to copy on paper then give them the pattern blocks, geoboards, buttons, unicubes, clap paterns…. then we do it together. It looks as though the curriculum is good for one years worth of material. At the end of it children should have an excellent comprehension of patterns, subraction, graphing, and addition.
