Hi friends! I am still going back and forth between Ray’s Arithmetic and Math on the Level. I just can’t make up my mind which one to go for and would love to hear your experience with either. Shelly, have you started MOTL with your children yet? Now that you’ve had your hands on it for a bit I’d love to know if you find it useful. Thanks everyone! I’ve really been enjoying all the activity on SCM lately, this sites been buzzing!

Hey Rachel,
I do like MOTL. It seems very user friendly. Very adaptable for all ages and all types of families. I like the idea of planning our own program of math but having several ideas of how to teach each and every concept..and the 5 a day review seems like a great way to keep up and assess each child with out having to do so much drill.
BUT I haven’t started using it yet..Next week is my Math planning week..and we probably won’t start math until mid-August. I really like the planner and the record keeping system (downloadable program available only after 60 day trial period). All of the books look great and help to put together a complete, and fun math program for your particular needs. For the first time I am really excited about MATH and teaching math.
If you have any specific questions let me know..I may not know the answer but the MOTL yahoo group would have plenty of people to answer and answer with lots more experience then I have.

BTW…we do have to meet some time..like you said in another post..God has taken us on similar paths over the years.
