Anyone used this?  I’m not sure dh would let me use this…he like very traditional math and hates MUS, but I really like the way this looks.  My 19yo couldn’t have used something like this.  Math was his definite strength and it would have driven him nuts but my two 6yos I think would benefit from this concept.

I’ve been using it for three years now and I really like it.  It is not a workbook, you as the teacher have to make up the “5 a day” sheets for your kids, so there is some prep time involved on your part.  There is a little bit of a learning curve getting started with this program, but once you get the hang of it it will run smoothly.

I like the fact that I can look ahead all the way until algebra.  I can move my kids ahead in some areas and hold back in others as I see fit.  I think MOTL is good for moms who want an approach to math that is really tailored to fit their kids.  I personally like making up the “5 a day” sheets on a daily basis because it allows me meet my kids needs daily rather than a set of problems already made up in a workbook.  The “5 a day” sheets also allow for constant review of previously learned skills so your kids won’t forget anything…this is the thing I love most about this program.

I hope this makes sense.  I have added a few things like challenging word problem books to MOTL.  I am weak at math myself and MOTL has been a God send for me.
