A little background on my daughter: She was public schooled kindergarten and 1st grade, and they used Saxon math. We started homeschooling in 2nd grade, and I used Saxon thinking I would just stay with what she knew. We had a horrible math year! There were a lot of tears, from both of us! Her struggles are with subtraction, everything else get did well on.

Looking at 3rd grade, I cleaned out the wallet to get teaching textbooks 3 for her. At looking through it, we will do 3/4th of the year before we pick up where Saxon left off. The pretest for TT4 was stressful for my daughter, although she did get it done without much help. I have stumbled upon the Queen Homeschool website, and I really enjoy the looks of Math lessons for a Living Education. She would probably be in book 3. Has anyone used this curriculum? What are your thoughts on it?

I am trying to make the transition to CM materials. I can easily switch our language arts over without second guessing, but I am struggling with the math. TT (and Saxon) is very school-y, while MLFLE is very…not! Any thoughts on this would be helpful!
