Do you mean Masada with Peter O’Toole?
If that’s what you mean, then “Yes” I would recommend it
Only two caveats:
- they use the term ‘Palestine’, which is historically inaccurate, but unfortunately common. The Romans did not give the region (province) of Judea that name until after the bar Kochba rebellion of 132-136CE. But your dd’s need to know that distinction.
- there is some frolicking between women (Midianite, I think) and the Roman soldiers at the encampment. You don’t see anything, just dancing and some kissing; similar to scenes of debauchery depicted in the Ten Commandments and other older movies. But your dd’s are old enough (at least the older one), IMO, to know that these women especially, were used in this way by their culture (as the sex slaves are now by ISIS).
