Charlotte Mason Institute conference is slated to return to Gardner Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC from June 11 – 14, 2014.
I attended this year in Ferrum, VA and it was wonderful! However, the drive to NC will be much better for me!
RobinPParticipantSo you’re going again, Christie? I hope to again, as well. So looking forward to it!
TailorMadeParticipantI’m excited for both of you! Maybe someday…..
missceegeeParticipantYes, I hope to bring several members from my co-op.
artcmomto3ParticipantIs this what was formerly ChildLight USA? I have a friend who has attended 2 or 3 years. I would love to go sometime, but I will be continuing my Kodaly certification training in June. Maybe 2015.
missceegeeParticipantYes, it’s the same.
DawnParticipantThat looks like a fantastic conference and its not too far for me.
blue jParticipantI am looking forward to going again this next year. Last year was such a wonderful experience. I may actually consider flying this year… NC seems like it would be just a bit too much of a drive.
PollyParticipantIs there a link to this?
missceegeeParticipantI just registered for the conference. If any friends here want to register with my group, please let me know. Robin and Jacqleene, I hope to see you both there!
livkenParticipantI don’t understand how the attending spouse fee works. Could someone explain a little about the conference. Is it worth the 9 hour drive???
Thanks, Olivia
missceegeeParticipantI drove 16 hours last year and yes, it was worth it. The attending spouse fee is a discounted rate for your spouse to attend. There are several husbands who attend, but the majority of attendees are female.
livkenParticipant16 hours! Wow!!
So they can attend the sessions (or not all if they chose) but not the preconference immersion sessions? So for a spouse you pay the $30 and the extra room and meal fee? Just thinking out loud … I’ve never traveled away on my own but I don’t think he’d want to attend 4 days of an education conference: ) is there anything for him to do in the area if he were to come and not attend every session? Thanks for letting me pick your brains!
Olivia
missceegeeParticipantNC is pretty, google Boiling Springs, NC and see what you find. My husband doesn’t go and if he did, he’d find a golf course, not attend the conference.
