Ok with all the expense of having 8 kids is this book worth the investment?

YES!  I was just talking about this in another forum.  We use chorepacks with ours (6, though the baby obviously doesn’t have one yet…LOL).  I also highly recommend paying for the 1 year subscription to the Choreware Software (it’s only $12).  It made creating the cards for all the kids super easy as it has many preloaded with graphics or without, you can add your own or tweak their text, they’re numbered, etc.  You can see our most recent cards using ChoreWare here.  After I went through the book (super helpful!) and decided what chores for which child in what order I just hopped on the Choreware site and plugged everyone’s in, then printed. Ta Da!

Once they’re set up and trained the kids really do handle chores themselves.  Love love love them!
