Anyway, I don’t do much of that but things I consider light are:
HG Wells’
War of the Worlds
Time Machine
The Invisible Man.
Those are sci-fi, so I don’t know if you like that or not.
Others:
The Phantom of the Opera by Leroux
The HAppy Prince and Other Tales by Oscar Wilde
Fiction is not my strongpoint, but these are good books if you enjoy the genres. I’m sure there are others I’ve read (like Gone with the Wind, which is light, but the language is rough), but I can’t recall them, now, other than Bible study books, which are light, too.
