Any ideas? I want them to read books that strengthens their faith, that kees their focus on their walk with God. Any toughts? I just feel like our focus has somehow gotten off track. I have spent more time looking for books to go with Ancient History! I want our main focus to be on our relationships with God! I just can not find peace about this year. I would love any ideas or siggestions you can throw at me!

Lamplighters books are good. They can be a bit pricey, but are quality/keepsakes. I think there was a thread a while back with favorites listed. HTH some:) Gina

Oh…my dd who doesn’t love to read enjoyed A Basket of Flowers from Lamplighter at around 12 yrs.

My daughters have loved the original Elsie Dinsmore books. I am always hesitant to mention them because some people think they are not good books for girls to read. I’m not really interested in arguing about it. Both of my oldest girls highly praise these books and say that they inspired them to live out their faith and they really liked the character of Elsie. My 12 year old is reading Beautiful Girlhood right now and she is liking it. Stepping Heavenward is a great book. Also, I second Basket of Flowers.
The Proverbs study that SCM sells here on the website is also a great resource for that age.

Yes Lamplighter stories are good. We actually have audio dramas, but the stories definitely have good strong Biblical application and character building.
Abeka Readers are also good.
There is the Farm Mystery series from Castleberry Farms Press. I have one title, but we have not read it yet. They look good and are written with Christian values in mind and teach responsibility and obedience. If you go to their website, you can read reviews there.
Also, Grace & Truth books may have some titles that will interest you.

PSLively, My dd13 has devoured all the Elsie Dinsmore books! I have read a few as well and we have no problem with them. I will check out some of the others as well. Thanks!
