Ok.. so I was watching Rachel Ray (sorry I love her kitchen time ). Anyway.. she mentioned she has a “app” (?) where you can go in and click on the meals you want to make and then it generates a grocery list for those meals.
So does anyone know of a website where I could go in and put our favorite meals, broke down by what you need and then each week as I make my list I could click on the meal and it would make my grocery list based off what I entered? Does that even make sense?
Thanks .. that would be a great time saver after my meals would be entered. Misty
I have the app for my iPod touch and there is a grocery list generator from recipes on that. If you don’t have an iPod/iPad, you can just use the website to look for recipes, generate your grocery lists, post your favorite recipes… I think you have to join Big Oven to access all the good stuff on the site. I really like the function on the app where you put in a selection of leftovers and it suggests recipes to make from them. I am not very creative with leftovers so this has been great for me.
My favorite cooking/recipe software is Living Cookbook. It is software you download and use on your computer. There is a web-based software that is called Plan to Eat that is good as well. I tried it for awhile and liked it but went back to using my Living Cookbook. I don’t have an i-phone, so don’t know about that, but wanted to give you these in case you are still looking for something.
