    Hi

I am looking for a personal finance course for high school, that would be close to 1/2 semester worth of time.  We have tried the Dave Ramsey course, but my daughter was not thrilled with it and we ended up stopping mid way through.  So I need another recommendation……any ideas?

Also, since my daughter will be heading off to college in the fall, I am also looking for a simple book that could explain the basics of personal finance, but that would not take a semester’s worth of time.  It would be great if it was geared towards college age students!!

Thanks for any insight or recommendation!

Have you looked into Math U See’s Stewardship program:

We used My Father’s World Personal Finance package and thought it was good…

It is a one semester course, which I paired with Notgrass Economics and some other misc. resources, like the Uncle Eric books.

Another good choice that could easily be done in a semester is the one by Life of Fred.  My son is doing it now.  You could add in a couple of Uncle Erics to make a half-credit Personal finance course; this is how we did it.  We also added in just a few videos on the internet.  It’s working beautifully for our purposes.
