Anyone know where I can find that?  I LOVE CM schooling, but HATE trying to conform it to the typical transcript form.  For example, I cannot figure out how many hours we have done of things!  It is so life based, and eclectic!  Great for our teaching and learning style, but how do you quantify it?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Well, I did do hours.  There ARE examples of narrative transcripts (try searching “narrative transcripts” on the web) but IMO they are sometimes not well received by some colleges.  IMO you are better off just considering it as a “game” and fit your stuff into their blanks.  I do use a transcript divided by subject, and not by year, since so many of our things spanned more than one year.  I just kept rough amounts of time we spent on various things as we went along.  CM schooling IS schedule based–you should know how many times per week and roughly how long you did math, for instance, and then figure your credit hours from that.

Agreeing with Bookworm, you can estimate your hours.  I wanted to say that I didn’t report any hours on our transcript.  I just gave it a credit for a year long course and 1/2 credit for a semester long course. I only put a final grade and the credit.  I haven’t had any problems with any colleges.  I had one college request course descriptions and that took a bit of work to gather together but I found  a way that someone else did that on-line and followed their format. Keeping records of things you used and things you did is important.

    Thank you for this thread

We are in the middle of our first high school year. I have been struggling with how to do transcripts.
