I would like a 6 month Bible reading plan, but NOT in order (Genesis – Revelation). I don’t mind if it’s OT, NT, Psalms every day or whatever, but just not Day 1: Genesis 1-6, Day 2: Genesis 7-12, Day 3: Genesis 13-19, and so on. I need to mix it up a bit. Any suggestions on where to find something like that? I keep finding 6 months that are in order, or mix-it-up ones that are 1-year.
RebekahyParticipantWe have a one year Bible that we really like – it starts with the first couple chapters of Genesis, the first couple chapters of Matthew and then a Psalm and a verse or two out of proverbs. You could get something like that and then just read TWO days at a time! Or really take any of the one year plans you found and read 2 days worth of readings.
Sara B.ParticipantOh, that’s a great idea, Rebekahy! Duh… Why didn’t I think of that? LOL

curlywhirlyParticipantThis one looks interesting, is 6 months, and mixes it up quite a bit.
psreitmomParticipantIf I have a specific plan written out, I usually end up falling behind. So, I started listening to and reading along with the Bible being read on DVD. I am keeping record of what I read, so I know where to begin the next time. I am alternating between the New and Old Testaments and just go in order, but you could read from any book or chapter. The DVD I have is done by Alexander Scourby. I enjoy listening to him read as I follow along.
When I try to follow a plan, I feel like I just read to get it done. I don’t meditate on it like I should, so I don’t get as much out of it as I could. I like to do shorter portions and really think about what I am reading. Just my thoughts.
