Yes! My son used it. I would say that if your son wants to do it then go with it. That’s a plus right there. You, yourself might feel the need to supplement but according to the author of the book, and he states it in his book, that it is worth a credit of Chemistry. So that’s what we did. I shut my ears, eyes, and thoughts to what others do 🙂 lol. My son also watched the 101 chemistry DVD’s. I didn’t require it but he just really likes those dvds.
My DD is currently doing Elements of Faith from masterbooks. I believe it is worth a credit toward Science or Bible. It’s the parents choice. It is very doable. She is learning the elements of Chemistry very nicely. I was thinking that it would probaly go very nicely with LoF Chemistry.
I’ve decided to go with LoF and add a few living books along with some labs. I’m starting a bit of a micro-school/co-op next year and there will be a few chemistry students. I think everyone can pick their own spine and do the same living books and labs and it will work nicely!
