Anyone do both of these in the upper grades? I’ve read that LoF is a full curriculum from Fractions onward, but I do have concerns with it covering everything like Saxon does.

    We’re doing away with MUS.

    Thanks,

Rachel, I’ve no idea about Saxon as it would make me pull out my hair. Yell However, I have dd13 switched from MUS to TT and using it with LOF Fractions. I’m unsure about LOF on it’s own, but we have loved pairing it. That said, dd13 is just beginning the Fractions book.

We’ve begun using LOF as our main curriculum and having the kids do just the test booklets from MUS to make sure they aren’t missing anything. I think at this level doing all of both would be too much.

Yes, for myself and dd, Saxon would be bad, too. My son though may like it. He definietely likes LoF.

That’s an idea: to do just the testing from Saxon alongside. Hmm…What book(s) are they in, Nebby?

    Thanks.
