Living science/nature books for wide age range

    We’re getting ready for a road trip, and I’d like to take the opportunity to boost our science/nature studies for the year.  I have 15,9,7,4 yo dc. We’ve listened to most if the Burgess books and loved them… But my 15 yo has had enough of that kind of thing. I’d like to choose something “for her” now, but I’d like for it to interest and be appropriate for the other kids too, Any recommendations?

    Have you read the My Side of the Mountain books? I have not listened to them, but reading them is a pleasure even for older teens. Also, we love  Jim Weiss’s reading of Rascal. As with everything he reads, it is just wonderful!
