hello there
please may i ask if anyone has any recommendations for nature study books relevant to the UK? Often the US books have very different wildlife.
Also, is it possible to find out which books CM used herself?

We are using Handbook of Nature Study by Anna Botsford Comstock. (free here http://www.archive.org/details/handbookofnature002506mbp) Most of it is pretty much common stuff and found here too.
I have seen a lot of Field study guides (birds, fllowers etc) at the book store. They look wonderful.
Also try Enid Blyton’s Nature Lover’s Book Enid Blyton
For a nature reader I would love to pick this up!! She has many other books about nature, birds and so much more!
I grew up on Enid Blyton books, and highly recommend them, wish there were more of them available here for little ones. Linda
