Just saw this for the first time, and am wanting some opinions on it…….

mrsjamiesouth uses it.  I looked at their website and if I were going to buy a different “all in one” this would be in the top 3.  Their guide isn’t the same grid type like WP.  It’s a weekly schedule of things to accomplish at your own pace.  HTH!

I downloaded a sample guide and I could handle that type of plan. Just not “read pages 11-15 today, and pages 16-18 tomorrow” kind of thing. Hmmmm……..but how would you do it with mutiple children without spending $1000 and way too much time everyday?

I had also thought I would use LLATL next year so I am really just looking at certain parts of it, I think……awwwww I should stay off the internet! LOL

No, it does look very tempting if I could some how do one grade level with both children, use my own copywork, use LLATL and still get my money’s worth………

    mrsjamiesouth…….advice please 🙂

Ok……I don’t think this will work for us. It is too grade bound….I don’t see how I could use it with both children without buying them each their own level and that would be too expensive and too much work for me. Plus I already have a good bit planned out for next year and I am just going to keep my plans for now.

Unless there is a really good reason why I should change 🙂

I liked it because the guide didn’t tell you to read p. 18 – 21 of this book this day, etc.  That drove me nuts with other guides!  It was too grade specific for me plus there were a few books that I thought were a little twaddly for me.  Usborne/picture type books for science, etc.  I did like most of it, but not enough to order a complete package.  That’s why I had others ahead of it.

    I sent you a pm…

I got Grades 5 and 1 for next year.  You could buy the guides from them and find the books other places.  I ended up spending just under $500 for both years.  I just needed a loose guide to help me next year.  I have found it hard this year to do things with my K son and keep our 22 month old occupied.  I feel like his schooling gets set aside.  The LBC for 1st grade has several projects I think my daughter would be able to join in on this Fall.

That being said, I do not plan to follow the guides exactly already.  For 5th grade they are studying Renaissance.  We have never even studied Ancient yet, I have only done American history with him.  I just feel like we should do Ancient first.  I was going to try to start Module 1 in Feb., but it hasn’t happened yet.  I think my plan is to do Module 1 in the Fall for History and do everything else out of his LBC for 5th grade.  The 1st grade LBC does do Ancient History, the spine is The Story of the Ancient World.  I plan to follow this with my 1st grader since both history programs are very light.

You can email me if you want to discuss it more.  mrsjamiesouth@yahoo.com
