Hello!  I’m looking for some good historical books – biographies, historical fiction, etc. – for my 13 year old daughter who is fascinated with Russian history.  Any suggestions?

Would Nicholas and Alexandra by Massie be age-appropriate?  (referring to mature content – not level of difficulty)

    Thanks for any suggestions!

For juvenile literature, try Anastasia’s Album by Hugh Brewster.  It has lots of photos too.  We have enjoyed the Ivan series by Myrna Grant for historical fiction.  The DK Eyewitness book on Russia is good nonfiction.  There is also a good biography of a missionary in that area (Romania): Richard Wurmbrand, Voice in the Dark.
