Don’t let the dates of the terms trip things up, Linda, dear. It sounds like in your situation it would be easiest to just divide up your work into thirds and not worry about when those thirds will start and stop. Does that make sense? In other words, you can still do Term 1, Term 2, and Term 3 but not assign any dates to them as you go through the planning process.

Another way to do it would be to base things off the number of weeks or days you are required to do school work. I don’t know what the laws are where you live, but here in Georgia we are required to do 180 days, or 36 weeks. So you could set up Term 1 to be 60 days and not worry about the exact date those 60 days will be done. Just know that after 60 days of school work accomplished, you will start Term 2.

Do either of those ideas help get things moving ahead again for you?

Thanks so much Sonya, that makes perfect sense. How easy it sounds when someone else comes up with it? The setting up term 1 at 60 days but not worry about dates is perfect. In Illinois we have no set dates though I do 180 and many more most years – so it should not be a problem. Thanks and thanks for a wonderfully helpul forum and a super website. I really appreciate all your work. Lindy
