    Linda (missingthshire),

I was just wondering how your daughter’s health is doing.

Still thinking about her in prayer!

    Angela

Angela, thanks so much for asking that is thoughtful of you – we are still struggling.  We are off this morning for her to have an ultrasound of her abdomen and gallbladder to see if they can see if anything is going on.  They have had to put her back on a small dose of the drug that caused her the tremors, because without she cannot eat at all not even those protein drinks.  She was rapidly losing weight after 10 days of not eating.  She is staying reasonably upbeat about it all though her school work is suffering because she feels so tired all the time.  I am not bothered too much about that – getting her fit and healthy is more important, but she stresses about it.  With the smaller dose of tablet she has about a 6-7 hour window where she has to fit in all her calories for the day – she needs about 2000 a day to regain the weight lost – she says it is hard to do, and I can imagine it is. She goes all morning without eating and then at 1230 has the pill then from 1pm to about 6:30 she has to get those calories in. Once the pill wears off then the nausea comes right back.  The tremors went away finally after a week praise Him, but we are watching carefully to see if they come back now she is back on the pills even though with a smaller dose of medicine – I hope not – because that really made life a struggle for her, as she could do so little with her hands like that.  If the ultrasound today shows nothing, our family doctor wants us to see another GI doc and get another opinion.  I truly appreciate the prayers – thank you Angela, I am blessed that I have Him in my life and that I have a strong faith – because without it, I am not sure how I would cope with some of the days.  This has been going on since early November with no end in sight and sometimes it gets us all down.  But we know it is a trial that we have been given to face and face it we must, and it is so much harder for her as she is the one suffering with it.  I will let you know how it goes today – when I get results, which I think will be early next week. Blessings to you – Linda

I was just thinking about you also Linda… we’ve been praying for your daughter.  I hope you get answers from the ultrasounds today.  And that the medicine doesn’t cause the tremors to come back.  Praise God they have gone away!!

    With love,

    Carrie

Thanks Carrie, we hope they don’t return as well.  As I said to Angela, I do so appreciate your prayers – bless you.  Linda

I’m so glad the tremors have gone and hope they don’t return. Maybe the dose was just too much for her. I’m relieved that she can eat for part of the day. Sometimes it’s so hard to see how much we could possibly grow from struggles, when they get us so down at the time. Think how strong she will be when this is over. I’ll keep you in my prayers.

    Angela

Thanks Angela, it is true that no matter how horrible or uncomfortable our trials, we always do learn so much from them and strength is a big one.  Again we all appreciate the prayers.  The ultrasound went well, we will have results in a few days they told us.  Blessings,  Linda
