I have watched all but disc #12. It has been helpful to me in that it got me enthused all over again about a CM education and spreading the feast. I really appreciated seeing CM’s schedules. That helped me see an area or two that could be improved in our school. I’ll be watching disc 12 soon.
I have my notes and I am fine-tuning our schedule to include a few things that I haven’t tried before like Swedish Drill. I was reading about that and realized that it would be of benefit to my children with processing disorders, plus it would be a great way to transition subjects without losing my kids to a recess. 😉 We have always had hymn study, but one dd struggles staying on key. Sol-fa would help her confidence with singing. I’d already added Plutarch to my schedule.
Learning how Charlotte’s methods are so intertwined is helpful in that it allows me to start having more faith and trust in the whole package. It helps me to let go of my “this is how school is supposed to be” and take the steps to make the educational journey of my children so much better and richer. I am thankful to be able to have such support and encouragement at my fingertips – any time I need it. =)
