    It sounds beautiful, Linda.

My dad’s grandparents were from Germany, and my mom’s father from the UK (Scotland though, not England).  We’ve never been to either place, but would like to.  My husband and I are both Canadian born and raised – so I appreciate your love of nature, trails, etc.  We like to vacation in British Columbia for similar reasons.

Gaeleen, I have always wanted to visit BC as well – it is supposed to be magnificent and I do love to travel and see new things though these days that is getting too expensive.  I hope that you get to visit a few of these places if you can – it makes such great long term memories and I relish my memories these days when it is freezing cold and dreary outside.  What part of Canada are you from?  Are you in the UK now?   Linda

We are originally from Manitoba – very beautiful also; I grew up spending all my summers at Falcon Lake (close to the Manitoba-Ontario border) with my grandparents.  Now we live in Alberta, but are looking to buy something in BC – even if it’s just for vacationing.  Perhaps we could arrange it so a trip wouldn’t be so expensive for you then…..

Wouldn’t that be great – I hope your “home” comes to you in BC.  I studied Canada years ago in High School – er yes, my goodness that was years ago – and the tourist board sent me a whole package of things about the country.  I remember Manitoba being lovely – I think I would like Canada very much.  I have my favorite place in the world, but I find something to love no matter where I am – I think that is the key – you have to learn to bloom wherever you are planted.  Linda Smile
