I wrote a long post earlier, but it never showed up. I have been trying to decide all week whether or not it would be wise for me to purchase one of the Laying Down the Rails Books while the free shipping offer is available. They both look like lovely resources, but my children are 10 and 16, so I am unsure whether these would be too young for them. I did look at both of the samples and although the TOC looked like it contained very relavent topics, the sample pages seemed very young to me. (These were the ones on cleanliness, so it seemed to be speaking to much younger children).
They do look very nicely done, but to justify the cost, I need to be sure that these are something that my older kids would benefit from. I really liked the bible references and quotations that are used and was thinking it would be a nice resource for our “morning time” when we start the day together.
Can those of you who have used them with older kids or teens, please tell me how it worked for you? Which one did you use or did you use both of them? Did you feel that it had a great impact on your kids/family? How did you use it? Thank you so much in advance!
