LDTR for children: obedience, attention, truthfulness

Hello,

I am beginning LDTR with our family. We are choosing to work first on cheerful obedience, then do thorough obedience in a separate 6-8 week focus. Is it okay to break up these two with perhaps 6 weeks of attention training before returning to obedience, or would it be best to tackle obedience completely first. I ask bc I think the thoroughness is lacking at times due inattentiveness at the time of the instruction. Thoughts? TIA
