  • I know the topic of laminators has come up from time to time, so thought I’d mention that Amazon has a deal today (Aug 19) so it’s only $18. I’ve seen it maybe $2 cheaper on a Black Friday sale, but that’s a great price. I’ve had mine for a couple of years I know others here have this one too. It gets top reviews on Amazon as well.

Also, the pack of 100 full-size laminating sheets is on sale for $11.60. That’s a sale price I’ve seen somewhat regularly, or at least close to that. If you’re buying a machine for the first time, I’d recommend getting that extra pack of laminating sheets because the description on the machine itself says it only comes with 2 laminating sheets.

Here’s the link for the machine, pasted in below if the hyperlink above doesn’t work:

Thanks for posting this, Mysterious.  I’ve thought of buying a laminator before but I’m not sure I’d use it enough to justify the space it would take.  Can folks share what they use their laminator for so I can go ‘Oh yeah, I can do that too!’ and then I’ll go buy it?

    Thanks! Laughing

I just laminated the poems that I want my girls to memorize.  I recently laminated a “multiplication tricks” page.  I laminate things for my husband (for in the barn – lists of cow due dates and such).   laminated the dividers for our flashcard sets.

I was living just fine without a laminator.  But now that I have one (a $20 one, so pretty cheap, and it was a gift from my mom), I’m finding uses for it.

Thank you for posting!  I’ve borrowed my in-laws plenty of times but theirs doesn’t use heat so the end result is not as durable.  For this price I can justify having my own.

We laminate paper dolls and use double-sided tape so they last longer. We laminate school documents like scheules, maps, etc. I make laminated bookmarks, games, flashcards, and other stuff that is not coming to mind right now.

I had that model for years and really liked it. My 6yo killed it accidentally while I was at the homeschool conference in March so I have a new version. It works well too.

I don’t know that I have much new to add… it’s one of those “not critical” items for me, but also something that when I’m looking to downsize, I remember how nice it is to have. 🙂

So… schedules, chore charts, verses or nice sayings that get posted up around the house, things my husband needs for work, I did some music flashcards  and games for my piano students, oh and covers and backs for things we print off and bind (yay pro-click binder!), sometimes I’ll do activity pages that are going to get resused for wipe on / wipe off exercises.

Oh, actually I forgot I also used it for map studies like that — print off and laminate an outline map of a continent or region that you want to study, and then each week (or whatever) the kids label the old, label the new things adding on, then after we go over it we wipe it off.

I love my laminator! I just did all our numbers for decimal street. Anything I was to be “dry erase” for the kids I use over and over. I have blank head outlines for them to draw funny faces on. I have a cleaning check list. Memory verses. I know there is more I it’s can’t think of them now

I am now the owner of a new laminator  – and 102 pouches! 🙂  Thanks!
