what does everyone do for labeled maps and the blank ones?

I have the Homeschool in the Woods CDs – I print those out.  Or I use a cheap ($15) Evan-Moor map book.  My girls like the Evan-Moor book better because it’s plain and clear.  The HitW CD maps are old-world-y and are just a bit too cluttered somehow.

We bought and use Uncle Josh’s Outline Maps CD. It’s well worth the money!!

We also use Uncle Josh’s.  I use it often.

I have used Uncle Josh’s, the Worksheet Works site, but my favorite by far is the SCM Visits To… series.

    Christy,

Do you recommend doing the Visits to…with a year 1? We will be starting out first module (early modern) next school year and I wondered if Visits to North America would be a good option or if we should just do the geography as written in the module.

    thanks!

Not Christy, but we did Visits to Africa with year 1 (as written) and it was a good year.

I am a big fan of the Visits To… series.

Yes, I think the Visits To series is perfect for all ages 6+. I like it so well, we implemented it in our CM co-op this year and it’s been a huge success.

I often use these for blank maps: http://www.eduplace.com/ss/maps/

We used Visits to Africa last year and I’m thinking of adding in the Middle East one to finish up the year…a couple of my kids aren’t enjoying MOH’s maps as much.
