Does anyone have experience with the Knifty Knitter looms? I’m wondering if my 6 year old daughter could handle it?

Well, yes and no. I use them, and my oldest has for several years (she’s 10 now). What you’ll need is to learn how to use them yourself or find someone to teach her, but yes, a 6 year old can totally use the knitting looms. My daughter started with the tiny infant loom and made hats for her dolls, then moved up to making bigger hats (which take longer).

I am making a scarf right now!  I love this product.  I think that if her hand eye cordination is good and she can start where she left off on something she’ll be ok.  My boys at 7 were able to do it with a bit of help, and I think a girl would get it easier than a boy.  Embarassed  Misty

They are very easy to use – all our girls use them for hats, scarves, dishcloths, etc.  Like Tristan said at six, she will need to be shown how, but should have no trouble once she gets the hang of it.
