There are so many King Arthur books out there.  What is your favorite for an 8 yr. old boy to read?  Has anyone like King Arthur and His Knights by Yesterdays Classics?  Did you like it?

    Thanks!

I don’t know a lot by my son just read the one by Howard Pyle and loved it.  It’s lengthy and smaller print so maybe that wouldn’t work.  He is also 12.  Now I didn’t read it first, but my son will usually tell me if a books talks or does things we don’t agree with.  So I had to trust his judgement.  Misty

Howard Pyle’s version and Andrew Lang’s versions are considered very worthy retellings; worth waiting till the right age to read them. Also, they have classic illustrations, too. I have Pyle’s version (as well as his Robin Hood).
