I am considering getting a Kindle Paperwhite for reading….personal and school related. I have an iPad for all other tablet fun, but don’t care to read on it for long periods of time.
Do illustrations from books like Yesterday’s Classics show up well?
I am just curious how they are working for you and yours.
I love mine! I had a regular reader, but it didn’t have the built-in light, so I couldn’t really use it in bed without our ceiling light on (or a booklight that never was focused on the page right). I like having the lights dim when I’m winding down, so this has been perfect.
I have our yesterday’s classics on the other reader, so I haven’t read books with illustrations on the Kindle, but they show up find on my other one with e-ink.
I don’t have much experience with any of these devices. But, our library just started loaning out kindle e-readers (don’t know which one) that are preloaded with books. I just checked one out yesterday to try out and see how we like it. I haven’t done much with it, but my DD7 started reading Heidi and said she really liked it. Maybe your library is doing something like this and you could check one out to see how it works for you.
